Okay so there are a few differences with the Ford Fiesta ST (or I've noticed lately it being called FiST or FieSTa) mainly in that North America gets the ST but only in five door format (and doesn't get the three door at all) where Europe gets both the three and the five door but only gets the ST in the three door format.
Then the other day a fella OPPO (sorry I can't recall who again) posted a picture of his new Fiesta ST but I noticed the 'ST' badge was on the left of the tailgate as opposed to the right in many other markets. Then yesterday I noticed that the 'Fiesta' badge was on the right (where it usually is) but is normally deleted on the ST models.
Even the press shots of the Fiesta ST on American (LA 2012) display stands have it on the right.
Am I just too used to seeing it on the right to think that it looks out of place on the left. In that the ST font leans to the right where the slope of the left hand of the Fiesta tailgate is to the left.
There doesn't seem to be any consistency either in the press cars with some on the left and some on the right within some articles.

It's ford, you're lucky if they remember to put an engine in it. Get what you get and accept it.
Heavy sarcasm implied.

In Australia we have the three door ST with the just the right-side ST badge like the European cars. Looks much cleaner. The combination of the ST slant not lining up and the different font of the Fiesta badge just makes me feel uncomfortable looking at it.

Ye, I did searches of Fiesta ST s all around the world and they seem to be the same as Euro/Australasian ST s. You guys just get the three door ST like us and also not the five door.
I'm glad its not just me that finds it off.

The measurements are up in one of the ST forums if you want to move it. I figure it was done because in Europe/Australia the ST replaces the Fiesta badge because the Fiesta has been around forever there and has a solid market share and everyone knows a Fiesta on sight. In America we've only had it for a few years so they want to keep the Fiesta branding on it so when people go 'what's that?' they can read the badge to see it's a Fiesta.

Was probably me. I've actually been thinking of removing the Fiesta badge, but I'm worried I'll mess up if I move the ST badge

True, it has been around since 1976 and are universally recognised but the 'ST' on the left looks wrong. It wouldn't even look all that bad under the Fiesta badge, placed left of centre to follow the line of the tailgate.

It may of been you yes, a white one was it?
It would probably necesitate a new 'ST' badge unless you sourced some licence plate adhesive pads and re-glued the back of the badge to re-apply it.
